The remaining part of the day is free to relax and experience the fascinating sights and sounds of the "Queen of the Adriatic". For those who want to experience authentic Venice up close, we offer an optional experience: explore the city's labyrinthine canals on a romantic gondola ride before dinner. Be enchanted by the magic of Venice as the gondola glides quietly through the waterways and the historic buildings form the backdrop for this unforgettable experience. This morning we set off on a journey through the picturesque lake district of Italy towards Switzerland. Our journey takes us through the impressive alpine landscape, past Lugano and through the majestic St. Gotthard Tunnel, which takes us to magical central Switzerland. Here, amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery, we will spend the next two nights in the medieval lakeside town of Lucerne.

Experience an orientation tour of Lucerne led by your tour guide. Start by visiting the impressive Lion Monument, dedicated to the Swiss Guard who lost their lives during the French Revolution. Then head to the picturesque wooden Chapel Bridge, lined with pretty pink, white and purple flowers. Use the rest of the day as you wish and stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, admire the beautifully painted facades and treat yourself to purchasing luxurious Swiss chocolate. Alternatively, there is the option to take part in an optional excursion to one of the surrounding mountains to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views.
