Itinerary & map

When you arrive, you will have the opportunity to get to know your fellow travelers better over dinner together in a relaxed atmosphere.

On this day you will undertake a fascinating hike from Neustift Monastery to Brixen. The path takes you through the oldest district of Bühnel, characterized by medieval buildings, and further via Kranebitt to Elvas. The surroundings of Elvas, surrounded by orchards and vineyards, offer an enchanting sight, especially during apple blossom. From Elvas you continue the hike towards Natz with its late Gothic Church of St. Margaretha. The path leads through picturesque villages to the Sommersüß wetland biotope, an important habitat for amphibians and birds. During your lunch break, stop at a local restaurant to enjoy local delicacies. The hike finally takes you via the dreamy village of Raas back to Neustift monastery.

You start the day with a bus ride into the picturesque Villnöss Valley. From the Zanser Hut you start your hike towards Tschantschenon along the Adolf Munkelweg, which stretches at the foot of the impressive Odle north face. On the way there is a fantastic view of the majestic Odle. The path is lined with a diverse range of flora, which bathes the surrounding area in a colorful play of colors. On your way you pass the picturesque Glatsch Alm below the Geisler group. The hike continues to the Gschnagenhardt Alm, where you can take your lunch break and enjoy the regional delicacies of the local cuisine. After a relaxing break, you head downhill, past the Geisleralm and through idyllic alpine meadows until you reach the rustic Dusler Alm. From there the path leads back to the starting point. The journey home to Neustift is comfortable with the local public transport and city bus.

You have the freedom to shape the course of today according to your own ideas.

You take the city bus from Neustift Monastery to Brixen, where your hiking day begins and takes you first to Pinzagen. This picturesque village is embedded in the magical low mountain landscape of the Pfeffersberg. From there your route takes you via the hamlet of Tötschling to the community of Feldthurns, which is known for its impressive Velthurns Castle. After a relaxing lunch break, you continue your hike, cross the villages of Pedratz and Pardell and finally reach Säben Monastery. After a short visit to the monastery church, you descend to Klausen. From there you can either take the train or the local bus to Brixen and from there take the city bus back to Neustift Monastery.

Explore your surroundings on your own today and shape the day according to your personal ideas. Maybe you would like to take a bike tour to Lake Vahr or take a detour to the idyllic Puster Valley?

Today you first take the bus to Siusi allo Sciliar to the Seiser Alm cable car. The cable car takes you to Compatsch, where your circular hike around the Puflatsch mountain begins with a breathtaking view of part of the Dolomites. A wide hiking trail leads you gently towards the northern edge of the almost vertically sloping plateau and offers a wonderful view of the Rosszahn, Langkofel and Plattkofel as well as the Sella Group. After a slight, secured climb you reach the highest point of your hike, the Puflatsch crossing at 2,174 m above sea level. On the way to your well-deserved lunch break, you pass the Hexenbänke, a fascinating rock formation that the Sciliar witches are said to have chosen as a vantage point to overlook the surrounding area. The lunch break takes place in the Arnika Hut, which serves delicious traditional cuisine and homemade cakes. The return is easy by cable car and bus.
